Specifications

Scale

The car is built at a 1:1.6 scale. At this size, it is compact enough to appear distinctive, catching the attention of spectators and appealing to younger fans, while still being large enough to ensure drivability and the driver’s safety.

Chassis

A custom 4130 chromoly spaceframe chassis, optimized for torsional rigidity and adaptability across all conditions. Designed to meet FIA safety standards and visually inspired by the WRC 2027 spaceframe, it delivers the look and feel of a true Rally1 car—just smaller.

Drive train

Powered by a Yamaha CP3 890 cc inline three-cylinder.Producing 120 BHP at 10,000 rpm. Power is sent through a 6-speed sequential gearbox with a reinforced chain drive to the rear axle and a Quaife ATB helical limited-slip differential for strong traction on loose surfaces and predictable behaviour on sealed roads. Double CV-jointed driveshafts support high-travel suspension for consistent power delivery over all terrain.

Body

High-performance sandwich-core composite body panels featuring a carbon fiber outer skin with Kevlar-reinforced stress zones. A lightweight Nomex honeycomb core delivers monocoque-level rigidity with minimal weight.

Suspension

Type: Independent Front: Double wishbone suspension with preload and hydraulic adjustable shock absorbers. Rear: Single arm suspension with preload and hydraulic adjustable shock absorbers.

Brakes

Type: Double circuit with brake balance. Front: Two Ø180 discs, double piston calipers. Rear: Two Ø240 disc, double piston calipers. Hand brake: Independent hydraulic system to rear calipers.

About Justin

Justin

Justin White runs Garage Avenger, a YouTube channel and podcast where he builds stuff and talks about the process. He's been making things his whole life, and now he shares the wins (and the mistakes) with anyone who wants to learn.

The WRC27 Rally Kart started as a crazy idea and turned into one of his biggest projects. It's a proper rally-inspired go-kart, designed and built in the garage. This page lets you explore the 3D model and see how all the parts fit together.

If you want to follow the build or see what else Justin is working on, check out his channels below.
